Electronic Waste
Electronic Waste
Electronic waste, or e-waste, is the fastest-growing source of waste globally. Most e-waste does not get disposed of properly and releases harmful pollutants into the environment.
- Globally, e-waste volumes grew to 53.6 million metric tons in 2019, an increase of 21% since 2014.
- Only 17.4% of e-waste discarded in 2019 was recycled.
- Of the 6.92 million tons of e-waste discarded by Americans in 2019, only 15% was recycled.

Waste to Value
Simply put, the world is going to need more resources to underpin the necessary technology for our modern way of life. Virgin, raw resources are becoming increasingly harder to source and extract. One way to help alleviate this problem is to better utilize recycling methods to reuse existing processed materials in an environmentally responsible way.
Vision
At Provectus Engineering Sonic Solutions, we are developing a low-emission, closed-loop operation that extracts all the value from the massive amounts of electronic waste the world produces on an annual basis.
